A History of Unity & Purpose

The Merced County Sheriff’s Corrections Association was officially established in 2023 with one goal in mind: to stand up for the rights, safety, and well-being of the Custodial Deputies and Security System Operators who serve our county.

Though we are a newly formed association, our purpose is rooted in years of dedication and firsthand experience within the walls of our correctional facilities. We came together because we recognized the need for stronger representation, a louder voice, and a unified front to advocate for the people who do this critical work day in and day out.

Since day one, our mission has been simple—be better for our people, every single day. We are committed to transparency, fairness, and building a lasting foundation of trust among our members and the community we serve. This is just the beginning, and we’re proud of the progress we’ve made together.
